 Jackson to host the inaugural Mid South Pro Mod Nationals.
Its Blowers vs. Nitrous on Labor Day Weekend!
TRW Motorsports brings some of drag racing's fastest hot rods to Jackson Dragway on Labor Day weekend 2009. The innaugural Mid South Pro Mod Nationals promises a great show complete with 12 of the quickest race cars in Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama and Arkansas vying for the title of Mid South Pro Mod Nationals Champion.
The Mid South Pro Mods are a group of racers dedicated to going super fast super quick.
Comprised of members from 4 states, they promise to put on a top notch racing exibition for the fans as well as for their fellow racers!
TRW Motorsports President Glynn Williford said, “From a fan perspective, it doesn't get any better than this. The loudest and fastest cars in 4 states, in a booked in show guaranteed to bring the house down. Fans will get to see the high-horsepower hot rods 3 times on Saturday night for qualifiying sessions at 7, 9 and 11 pm!"
Sunday's final eliminations are set for 5 pm when the ground pounding begins. Hear the blower cars rattle your eardrums and feel the nitrous fed monsters roar when they take to the track on Sunday afternoon.
This new features Super Pro AND Footbrake main events both days. racket racers wanted a race that is affordable from the entry fee standpoint and still pays a big purse. A free entry fee at the gate helps drivers in tuogh economic times and Track Manager Brad Netherton stepped up to the plate and delivered a homerun for bracket racers. Drivers will compete for over $1,000 each day! Drivers can also double enter each day. Footbrake drivers also get in the fun at the Mid South Pro Mod Nationals, so organizers included a Footbrake category to the event. Footbrake drivers get their shot at over $1,000 each day also! Once again, no entry fee is required of the bracket racers in either category and track officials have hinted they might increase the purse based on the number of entries.
With the August Mid South heat, organizers wanted to make it even more racer friendly by starting later in the day and finishing up under the lights on Saturday and Sunday. Williford concluded, “The night schedule and the format adds something for everyone and we believe the racers will respond in big numbers!
